COLLEGE STATION, Texas –Texas A&M University’s Human Behavior Laboratory launched a certificate program in Applied Behavioral Economics designed to help businesses and corporations compete and thrive in today’s dynamic environment. Registration for the first two classes began today for the fall semester. These online classes begin Sept. 14 and are 10-weeks long.
“We are incredibly excited to begin this new program because we are blending the latest academic research with industry leaders in behavioral sciences,” said Dr. Marco Palma, professor, and director of the Human Behavior Laboratory. The program is designed to provide the business community practical ways to apply the latest advances in behavioral science in their businesses.
In addition to Texas A&M University faculty, Melina Palmer, CEO and founder of The Brainy Business and Will Leach, CEO and founder of the Mindstates Group signed on to teach several of the classes. The program consists of three required courses and three electives said, Palma. However, students can choose to take as many classes as they wish. “We want to offer business owners and corporate leaders a way to incorporate behavioral economics into their work in a very applied manner,” said Palma.
